Construction of a complete 0.9 MGD waterwater treatment plant on a new site. This project includes the construction of the following:
- Preliminary Treatment Facility
- Biological Treatment Tank with thee (3) separate trains consisting of Nitrification, Anoxic, and Fermentation Zones, Secondary Clarifiers, and Sludge Digesters, along with associated pumps, mixers, and aeration equipment
- Three (3) Continuous Backwash Filters
- Ultraviolet Disinfection Tank
- Belt Press/Sludge Removal Structure
- Chemical Feed Structure
- Blower Structure
- Administration and Control Building
- Standby Generator System
- Plant Drain and NPW feed systems.
USC also modified the existing Sodium Hydroxide Facility that included demolition, new piping and level sensing equipment. Six (6) large stacking gates were retrofitted with new parts including motor actuators.
USC conducted geotechnical investigations and determined that the soil characteristics were inadequate to support the structure. USC, the Owner, and Engineer worked closely together to determine that auger-cast piles provided the most efficient foundation system.
