This project included dismantling, removal and replacement of two (2) existing primary clarifier drive units at the Bolton Water Treatment Plant, including installation of two (2) new variable frequency drives. USC also performed required sand blasting and painting of existing metal surfaces including the clarifier mechanisms and troughs. USC performed the work in a controlled environment through the use of a tent enclosure system that was climate controlled to allow orderly progression of the work to meet the Owner's critical scheduling needs.
The Project required the replacement of the drives without removal of the entire clarifier mechanism. This required an engineered system to support in excess of 60 tons.
