This project includes the installation of controls, instrumentation and devices for the monitoring and indication of combined sewer overflow events. The fast-paced project involves the following:
- The work is to be performed in four (4) locations around the District of Columbia. Unique challenges from these locations include working in high-profile areas, active pedestrian areas, public roadway closures and coordination with the National Park Service
- Level indicators, flow meters and control panels shall be installed at two Diversion Structures
- Pole mounted indicator lights and control panels shall be installed at two locations
- Integration of PLC controls, data acquisition and communication links between all four locations.
The constraints on the project require that USC and the DC WASA jointly address the issues of a critical project to provide a timely delivery.
