This project consisted of building a new sewage pumping station for a private real estate developer, Crescent Resources, as a critical part of their infrastructure package to develop the Potomac Yard region of Alexandria and Arlington, Virginia. The pump station was 45 feet deep and adjacent to congested crossroads in the city of Arlington, Virginia. In-house strategic planning and execution allowed USC to overcome these challenges. Completion of this project was critical for the Owner, as their sale and development of Potomac Yard was contingent on having an operable infrastructure package.
Elements of this project included:
- Deep excavation support system
- Earthwork and excavation
- 300 LF of guided-bore tunneling
- Structural concrete
- Heavy mechanical work
- Architectural Finishes
This Project was completed approximately four months ahead of schedule.
